course1

Advanced Heterocyclic Chemistry (for Ph.D. Students)

Course Description

  1. Course headlines
  1. All advanced topics in NMR spectroscopy related to chemical shifts, coupling constants, relaxation time, NOE, dynamic NMR, MRI, …
  2. Fundamentals of Pulse techniques in NMR
  3. Double resonance techniques including one-dimensional and 2-dimensional techniques
  4. Solving complex problems in structure elucidation and assignment

  1. Goal

Student should learn all advanced topics related to NMR Spectroscopy (as described above). Moreover, they should get high abilities in solving complex problems. The most important duty of student is solving a lot of problems as much as they could. All problems of textbooks 2 and problems in chapter 5 of textbook 2 should be solved.

  1. Scores
  1. Midterm (headline 1): 10 points
  2. Final exam (headlines 2-4): 10 points

  1. The textbooks
  1. Basic one- and two-dimensional NMR spectroscopy 4th edition by H. Friebolin
